Kuching Part 5

Dear readers,
Ha! The last part of our journey...finallyyy!..We stayed at FOUR POINTS by Sheraton.. I wanted to stress that the hotel is very cozy and ..nice modern interior!Ermm, enjoy the pictures
Mana2 hotel..fisrt place yg I akan tgk ialah toilet.Tatau la apsal..mmg habit kot.Masuk je trus nak wee-wee, pelik kan.Tp takper toilet dia shantekkk...
The bathroom was modern with massive bathtub with a a big rain shower.I couldn't help feeling a bit jakun about it. :-) especially bila bermandikan air yang ala2 hujan lebat dari langit :-)

The price we paid for the hotel includes breakfast for 2..Makanan bnyk choice,Kazim, as usual morning nap sambil kami makan..pastu dah dekat2 kami nak habis makan, barula dia terjaga.Yang paling best kan..( maybe sbb kami mkn TERlampau relax) masa cam tak cukup.boleyy???!! Pastu tgk jam dah nk habis pon tapi dgn selamba gi jugak mintak benda yg diorang dah clearkan pon.Ohh tp mereka layan :-) Thank you!


The service was next to none and the whole experience was wonderful. If only we could have stayed for longer. We would certainly recommend this hotel! Go go peeps.
Oh yaa.. malam after dinner kat Rock Road Seafood tu..after dah balik bilik semua...mula2 Apeng/Aman mcm pegang2 tepon..pastu tiba2 dia kata nak turun kat kereta sbb nak amik wayar GPS...He was acting suspiciously!
"buat aper wire?esok taklih ke?"
"kejap jer..u duk kejap k"
"ohh..u takut org amik wire tu ke?takut org pecah masuk kereta ke?"
As usual, this terrified me so much that I hastily retreated to continue to watch TV. Perhaps a person of a more jealous bent might have suspected Apeng/Aman of having an affair..and guess what? YES it did crossed my mind.Ohh well..a bit :-)

Sebenarnya...I rasa Apeng/Aman nak gi kuar dari bilik sbb nak CALL POMPUAN mana tahhh :p..hahah OR sbb ada pompuan nak call dia OR ada pompuan nak ckp ngn dia pastu taknak bini ada depan mata..( Ni la akibat bnyk sgt tgk drama swasta )

Pastu duk dlm bilik mmg taklih diam..Kazim masa tu mmg enak dibuai mimpi, pastu camm pk nak gi spy laki sendiri,boleh?

Tiba2 pintu dibuka
Dia balik dgn bersahaja..pastu I terus tanya
"Mana wire?"
"hmm I tak jadi amik..malas pulak"

Haihh mmgla masa ni dlm hati..haihhh gerammmnyaaaaaaaaaaa~ Tp takper, mengenangkan pepatah sepandai2 tupai melompat akhirnya jatuh ke tanah juga, maka sabarrrr.

Esok tu after dah balik bfast..dia buat benda yg sama lagi, kata nak kuar kejap!!! Ayooooooo 2 kali tauuu, ni bukan tahap geram, sakit hati ,pankreas, pundi kencing semua bagai dahh.
Pastu dlm 15 mins dia bukak pintu bilik..
I never gave it too much thought until...
TADAAAAA!
Ada kek dgn lilin bernyala sekali! And he sang me a birthday song.
I was sooo TERKEJUT! Gulped!
OHH TIDAKKKKK..maluuuuu!..Then he explained last night he went down to buy the birthday cake BUT the shop was already closed.So tu dia naik ngn tangan kosong tp dia kata camm susah sbb yours truly mcm lawyer sbb bnyk tanya :p
Owhhh, rasa nak terbang2 dah masa tu tp at the same time rasa bersalah sbb bersangka buruk dgn suami :p ( call me a jerk or what so ever.. Im so worried okayy..)

It has been an enriching trip, beyond what I hoped for - celebrating my 27th birthday with love ones,seeing my beautiful friend ,Fieza,learning more about Sarawak cultures ,eating yummy foods, a surprise birthday cake on bed which.ermm...I knowww righttt!Amazinggggg~
.. Oh yesss.. we were very happy and extremely satisfied with our trip to Kuching.

Anyways, I'm travelling again tomorrow( yes..with Apeng's mom and Cik Na) and we're leaving very early in the morning so dont expect any updates for this coming few days..

Okay..gotta hit my pillow now.

Kuching Part 4

Dear readers,
My birthday dinner with my beloved husband and friend!!..OKEY..kan dah kata this year takda dress-up, takda make-up2, takda formal or fancy dinner..it just..ermm..so..ermm WONDERFUL! Baju pon baju daripada siang..ADOII KANTOI..tak mandi dulu..hahahha.Ape tak bestnya!, ada suami..ada anak..dan ada kawan di sisi semasa makan malam..marvelesss sgt2.This is what I always wanted!!!BUT I have to admit Fieza mmg presentable that night :-)
Tadaaaaaaaaa..Ni la the famesss Satay Prawn kat Rock Road Seafood!This place dekat ngn Courts mammoth Kuching.Actually kan bila Apeng/Aman mentioned pasal Satay Prawn tu..I terpk aper tauu.camm Satay Ayam or daging tu..mcm yang cucuk2 tu,rupanya lain la pulak.Udang tu mmg kt dlm kuah tu..YA ALLAH..sedappnya kuah tu..kan Fieza?Mkn ngn Roti mmg nyaman sgt2 .

Butter softshell crab..surprisingly..sedap yer!Pastu kami order salted squid( ni pon sedapp) Pastu ikan aper tahh..pon sedap jugak..Ala..semua2 sedappp sgt2..Fieza, mmg habis kita melantak malam tu kan.Dahla borak sakan, Apeng/Aman tgk je we all ketawa semua.Thanks sweetheart!
Standard la kan..dah kat Sarawak order la Sarawak Vege.Pastu masa makan kt Rock Road ni, igt ke mahal giller sbb place agak exclusive, rupanya tidak sama sekali!

Last but not least,I would like to express my gratitude to my Apeng/Aman for his love and constant faith in me..and also yummy dinner treat.To Fieza, ala...walau camm lama mana pon kita jumpa still masa tak cukup2 kan.Tp bestlah!
Borak2 tgk2 dah kul 10pm camtu, restaurant pon dah nak tutup. Kazim mmg lena dibuai mimpi indah sudahh..sbb tu la kami makan dgn hebatnya.
Kami pon mmg mengantuk sgt sbb dah seharian kepanasan kat Cultural Village tu, mcm kalau letak bantal boleh terus tdo je.

Lepas tu, Kami pon terus balik hotel dan ZZzzzz.
Okeh last day in Kuching lepas ni pulak(camm lama pulak gi Kuching padahal 3 days 2 night jerr)

Kuching Part 3

Dear readers,
Dah habis check out semua, kami pon terus ke Sarawak Cultural Village.We had lunch at their cafe;Mee kolok and Laksa Sarawak.On entering everybody will be given a passport, as a souvenir which we are supposed to get it stamped at every house we visited at the Village.TAPI kami tak habis pon..tak sempat :-)

Rumah Bidayuh..masa ni Kazim elok je duk dlm stroller padahal panas okeyy, pastu bila tolak stroller gegar2 sbb jalan tu berkayu kan..gegar2 tgk Kazim..tp maintain jer..adoiii..risau pulak kadang2 tu.!

Anyway,this place is practically a living museum - a sort of village with traditional dwellings by the different tribes inhabiting Sarawak-Bidayuh, Iban, Penan,Melanau...and of course Malay!The cultural village is a great place to immerse ourself in these people's different cultures as we get to enter their houses, speak with them and simply watch them as they go about in their daily activities. Also, we can see traditional tools and utensils and even their handicrafts.

Had fun pounding paddy..sweetheart??Yeaa right!

Kemudian, kami ke rumah Iban.Kat sini best sbb ada 'welcome dance'...pastu ada Iban warrior...I was amazed!

Kuih Karas(..tak sangka ni kuih tradisi org Iban...sbb berlambak kt Besut..huhuhu) Oleh sebab kesian pulak sbb makcik ni duk promote2 kuih karas ni kan..I beli la satu..nasib menepati piawaian citarasaku yg sungguh cerewet ini.

Masa kat rumah org Ulu ni, kami angkat Kazim sbb rumah org Ulu agak tinggi.So mmg takda jln stroller nak naik sampai atas...habis ketiak berpeluh.Tapi bukan la I yang dukung Kazim pon..my husband la kan :p
Susu time!Tgkla Kazim dah start nak nangis mintak susu,,kat situ jugak I bagi susu,huhu nasib la takda org ramai sgt..dahla panas..sabar jelah.Lepas tu bila tgk jam dah pukul 4pm, cultural show dah nak start so kami pon cepat2 turun dan terus ke Theatre.Tak sempat pon nak gi rumah2 yang lain tu.
Shows are organized twice daily, where one can admire traditional dances - with people in traditional costumes of course!

OMG, Im so proud to be..hmm Malaysian! Pertama kali tgk 'cultural show',masa gi Kiwi Land dulu..pastu ni kira kali kedua la tgk benda2 mcm ni. Mmg best lah..jgn tatau Kazim pon tgk tau :p
Pastu dah dekat2 nak habis tu Kazim pon ke Lala Land..Pastu tgk2 jam dah kul 4.45pm,igt nak sambung lagi tgk rumah-rumah lain, rupanya dah tutup pon..adoi.Nak taknak kami pon kata to each other
"ohh...kena dtg lagi ni!"
Masa ni dah call Fieza sbb nak dinner sama2.Kami pon terus ke town sbb nak cari hotel.Pastu pusing2 tiba2 terpk pasal ada satu hotel tu near the airport, so kami pon terus jelah ke situ.Masa tu dah 7pm, kami pon dah mcm malas nak cari hotel lain, so kami check in je terus..huhuhu.

Overall, this is definitely a place not to be missed!!
Seriously..go visit!

Hi kawan-kawan,
Igt nak sambung pasal Kuching trip tu..tp tiba2 rasa camm mengidam macam-macam pulak.Rasa nk makan nasi ambeng..pastu Tony Romas Ribs la..pastu nak..kuih2 yg manis2 tu la..adoii sedappnya..pastu otak dah taklih nak tulis aper2 dah :p
Ok..next week kami dan ibu mertua dan adik akan ke Bandung. So minggu ni takda aper sgt selain aktiviti dgn Kazim..oh yaaaaa..Im so happy! Kazim dah boleh tdo sendiri..Ohh sungguh tak sia2 sesi training ku :-) alhamdulillah!

nantilah I update gambar2 kami gi sungai jugak nanti..Ohh yer sebelum tu kena citer hal Sarawak habis2 dulu..ohh tolongggggggggg sgt malass dan sgt mengidam nak makan itu ini!

Kuching...Kisah 2

Dear readers,
Hows your long weekends? Mine?It was great! We had a lil surprised party for Leen's belated birthday( I hope you like the gift....!and thanks to Leen's bestie-Aima sbb dtg!) and of course,Chinese New Year celebration at our place. We prepared ang pow or red pocket money-'lucky money' for kids who came to our place on 13th Feb and 14th Feb.We also served some foods...and Yee Sang :-)

Anyways..my plan to Jakarta ..hmm has been cancel...patutnya today me& Kazim ke Jakarta tetapi disebabkan kesulitan yang tidak dapat dielakkan, maka trip itu terpaksa la ditangguhkan.

Ok back to Kuching trip.
It was my birthday!!!
As usual, Kazim woke up around 630am. It was so nice to not have to rush in the morning for making a breakfast.Boleh relax-relax..golek2 ngn Kazim dan Apeng/Aman lama2 sbb tau ada breakfast buffet.Pastu takyah pk nak makan aper sbb makanan dah sedia.Heaven!
The weather was perfect( although it was raining in the morning tp kejap jer,habis je kami breakfast hujan pon benti) Food ..ermm..nothing so special..just..err common?!

So we settled for breakfast around 10am. Apeng/Aman asked me whether to extant our stay at the resort or not.BUT since we wanted to try out the famous Satay Prawn at Road Rock Seafood (and it is near to the town) We packed our stuffs and ready to check out.

Masa nk check out tu Apeng sempat tanya pasal Sarawak Cultural Village...it happened the place is just nearby!!! And yes, we bought the tix ;RM55 per person (patutnya RM60 yg dia tulis tp kami beli kat tour agency Damai, jadi mereka bagi discount sikit).I always wanted to go to Bako National Park BUT since Kazim is still small and February is a monsoon season,the visit will be next time!

This place dah dekat Gunung Santubong..haihh merasa la tgk jugak akhirnya! Selama ni dgr lagu je.It is a a legend about two beautiful princesses, Santubong & Sejinjang who got into quarrel and started to fight..

After the gedik photo session ..Kazim fell asleep( afternoon nap)... I was..hmm sleepy too! It was hot BUT windy. Okeh there you go again! More on our visit to Sarawak Cultural Village later.

Kuching ..kisah 1

Dear readers,
I left for Kuching, Sarawak on 3rd February, one day before my sweet 17th...err.. 27th birthday. Instead of going for a superficial dinner at a fancy restaurant where we pretend to enjoy ourselves because just because its my birthday, we went to Damai Beach Resort!!!

Erm, kami sampai airport dalam kul 9 pagi camtu.Kazim mmg tgh morning nap, pastu lepas 30 minit Kazim dah bangun.Instinctively, I checked his nappy and it was full. Thinking that it was all full with his wee, I decided to change his nappy in his stroller rather than taking him to the changing room.
Bukak je nappy....mak aiii..sgt bnyk yerr poo-poo, pastu bila nak angkat bum-bum, rupanya melimpah ruah..sampai baju semua kena..AAAAHHHHH!
( stop reading if you are gross out by baby's poo).

Lepas tu, terusla ke toilet., So when I picked him up to the toilet, I saw a smudge of the mushy poo on his stroller! Aaaaaahhhhhh (there goes my Faizal Tahir-scream !!!) Trying not to be stressed out especially when Kazim is in such a happy mood for having done his big business of the day..
( OKEY Kazim was actually smiling when I was screaming..ermm how cheeky is that?)I cleaned everything quickly.Once all done, I put Kazim back in his stroller and let him play with Mr.Freddy.
Jadi, terusla acara cuci mencuci baju dijalankan.Nasib ada mesin keringkan tangan tu....dapat keringkan baju.Kalau tak cuci, ooohh tidakkkk !!!Pastu kami gi late breakfast, tgk2 flight kami ptg jadi..kami pun menjadi penunggu setia kat airport..huhuhuhu.
Alhamdulillah, Kazim tak bnyk ragam tapi bila dah dekat2 nak boarding, Kazim dah mula nak susu.I dah plan nak bg susu kat atas kapal sbb kalau bg terus nanti kat kapal dia dah kenyang pastu dia taknak dah.So mcm2 la kami buat nak suh dia calm..nasibla tak lama pastu terus naik kapal. Then zazzzzzzzzzzss terus sumbat susu bergerak.
I was trying my best to keep his ears from hurting. Jadi masa dlm kapal, Kazim tdo dgn nyenyak sekali. YES, we were grateful!!

Reached around 6ish and we rented a car,Went straight to Damai Beach Resort.
Upon arrival at the Wing Lobby, we were greeted with a friendly doorman.We dropped off our luggage,parked our car and check in was done at the lounge.
We had the Superior Poolview.I must say..nice room..cozy and quite spacious BUT..the pillow..errr tak best..huhuhu .The price? Since it was a low season, we got the room less than RM220 including breakfast for 2.
Do check their internet rate or..call them directly for better offer!!
Actually ni mcm rancangan tangkap muat je sbb mmg kami tak booked aper-aper pon dari KL..sampai Kuching main redah jer :p
Tapi kami ada la nampak a few resorts yang lain ;

So that night we went to Kampung Buntal, we were among the first customer to be seated..huhuhu.Makan harusla pantasssss~ Sbb Damai dgn Kampung Buntal ni dah mmg dekat jadi kami rasa, kami takyah la gi jauh2 pastu Fieza ada bgtau pasal Lock Ann ni..mcm besss je , so why not??
We ordered black pepper crab, butter prawn and sarawak vege. BUT..hmm honestly ..the foods were just OK. Ketam tu..sedap! Sarawak Vege goreng garlic JERRR pon order sampai 2 kali..BUT Butter prawn kat topspot tu lagi bnyk serdak tu..boleh ke order serdak tu je?Yummy!It wasn't bad but it was just so common!!!(Err.. geddit?)? Seeing how disappointed I was( ok ok.. takdala rasa teruk sgtpon tp sbb serdak tak bnyk..huhuhu), my beloved husband made a point to make sure we have a good dinner on the second night.Lovely!


Kazim behaved and was on-off sleeping in his stroller.Maka bolehla makan dgn senang hati..lalalala..
